Subject
Status and efforts to address 2009 flu pandemic by country and continent/region.
Description
This article deals with the status and efforts regarding the 2009 flu pandemic by country and continent/region. As the pandemic progressed, laboratory testing and confirmation decreased. Confirmed figures for the United Kingdom, in particular, are only meaningful up to 2 July, when routine testing stopped and presumed cases were treated without laboratory confirmation of diagnosis. Following the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO), many countries stopped issuing estimates of the infected population, making this list inaccurate.
