My Battery is Low and it's Getting Dark

When NASA announced the end of Opportunity's mission, the public couldn't help but feel sad about the "death" of the rover.

Adding to the emotional response, was the news that Opportunity's last transmission was "My batteries are low and it's getting dark."

The actual transmission included a status update on Opportunity's battery levels and the visibilty levels on the Martian surface. The rover's bettery was low, and despite it being mid-day, the storm had caused complete darkness.
